And yes, when I pulled my knitting out of my pack, reactions ranged from amused to confused, but I had to add some good shots to my “knitting in cool spots while on vacation” collection.

One really cool thing about the test knit process: I get to hear from knitters who use different sock knitting methods. I’m a 9” circular fan, myself, and Magic Loop is not my jam, so I was really grateful to have input from experienced Magic Loopers on this one.

    I was SO CLOSE to finishing this little pair of so I was SO CLOSE to finishing this little pair of socks, and then I realized the numbers weren’t adding up for the instep. I had knit a heel flap that was too narrow.

So it sat in time out for a couple days. Today, I had the patience and energy, so I ripped out the heel and started knitting again.

And anyway, time spent knitting is never wasted.
