I used to feel so guilty about lingering unfinishe I used to feel so guilty about lingering unfinished projects. While my tendency to get distracted by shiny objects can be a problem in some areas of life, though, it turns out it doesn't matter all that much with fiber arts. Because yarn doesn't have an expiration date. It can sit for ages, and so long as I've stored it properly, it'll be just fine whenever I pull it out again. If a project just doesn't feel right, it can go in timeout for a while. Sometimes even a long while. I do generally come back around to things eventually, and I figure there's no point in imposing artificial deadlines on my hobby when there are enough real deadlines in the rest of my life. How about you? Do you feel guilt for having unfinished projects that are lingering, or have you come to peace with the ebbs and flows of the creative process? P.S. - This gorgeous @brownsheepco Lamb's Pride Worsted looks as good as it did when I packed it away 16 years ago.

When @expressionfiberarts asked if I was interested in doing something with their holiday colorway, I jumped at the chance to try my hand at working with some yarn that’s outside my normal wheelhouse: dark and moody with more variegation than I usually use.
