Having some big feelings today about how much I lo Having some big feelings today about how much I love this work and how grateful I am for it. It is joyful, fulfilling, nourishing, and good. When I was in law school, I used to joke that I wished I could just get paid to knit all day. I never imagined that I could build a career that involved even a little knitting every day. Turns out there’s a lot more involved in running a knitting design business, but every day has at least a little stitching time in it. Thanks to all of you for helping to make it possible.
I cast on this Musselburgh Hat on Friday because I I cast on this Musselburgh Hat on Friday because I was going camping with a group of little Girl Scouts and I knew I wanted something I could knit in the dark around the campfire. I like having a project that is entirely stockinette so I don’t have to look at it but can still keep stitching. How about you? Do you enjoy some simple stockinette knitting or does the tedium make you want to cry?
My options seem to be either arriving very early o My options seem to be either arriving very early or arriving late, so I’ll go with the former whenever I can. Luckily, knitting is portable and quiet, so I can take it with me into waiting rooms, offices, parking lots, pickup lines, wherever. I even took mine to Girl Scout camp last weekend 🤭
