A Bee In The Bonnet

Author: Lauren Rad

I'm a former lawyer turned knitwear designer who designs soft, romantic patterns for knitters who want a brief escape from the everyday. When I'm not knitting, you can usually find me puttering about in my rose garden, hosting tea parties, or collecting sea glass at the beach.

I can finally tell you how much I adore this new y I can finally tell you how much I adore this new yarn coming from @aimeeshermakes ! Aimee kindly sent me a couple skeins to play around with, and I’ve decided to turn them into a shawl pattern. Keep your eyes out for that one in a couple months.

This yarn is so drapey and elegant but the wool content helps reduce some of the textural challenges of pure linen/silk (no give, scratchy on the hands). I was able to knit for several hours yesterday with no hand discomfort when usually I need to take more frequent breaks with linen and silk.
Here’s a look at just how easy it is to knit socks Here’s a look at just how easy it is to knit socks with two circular needles. I’m using 16 inch circulars here, but I know a lot of people who like to knit two at a time will use 24 inch circulars. Have you tried this method?
I got the idea for these knitting valentines yeste I got the idea for these knitting valentines yesterday and spent way too much time giggling to myself while I worked on them. If you have knitter you love, share your favorite with them!
