When I decided to do a little fundraiser for @sail When I decided to do a little fundraiser for @sailingmom2la28 and her Olympic journey, I wasn’t sure how it would go. I did, though, know that knitters have a wonderful depth of generosity in their spirits. It has been such a joy watching you all root for Lauren as hard as I have been. I can’t wait to hear how Worlds turns out, and I hope you’ll continue following her over on her own Instagram account! And finally, many, many thanks to @megsandco_yarn, without whom I truly couldn’t have pulled this off. She created the most perfect pink yarn and was such a joy to collaborate with.

Svalbard has some truly intense weather, while my little pocket of California coastline is consistently pretty mild. It’s fun to track the changing seasons in both places. Anyway, I saw an update from Cecilia the other day that snow had built up on some of the mountains on Svalbard, and while it is still a toasty 90°F here (we’re having a heat wave), it’s got me thinking ahead to fall. Do you have fall knitting plans yet? What’s on your plate?

Frogging is a normal part of the knitting process, and if you have to frog, it doesn’t say anything about your skill as a knitter or whether you’ll be able to finish your project. It’s all just part of the process.
I’ve had a few people asking for more details abou I’ve had a few people asking for more details about how I knit the heels and toes when I’m testing out new techniques, so here’s a quick over view of the process I follow. It’s pretty straightforward and makes it so easy to try out new techniques without investing a ton of time into something I’m not sure I’ll like.
