The knitting pattern for the Frontispiece Socks is The knitting pattern for the Frontispiece Socks is now available! You can get it on its own or as part of the Golden Honey Sock Club. Like all my sock patterns, this one is graded to five sizes so you’re sure to find one that fits you.

This year, the Golden Honey Sock Club patterns are all named for specific parts of physical books that you might not have even known had names. The frontispiece in a book is a richly decorated page directly opposite from the title page, and it can include all sorts of elaborate illustrations and decorations.

Do you have a special book with a frontispiece you are especially fond of?

P.S. - The yarn is @malabrigoyarn Ultimate Sock, which is such a good yarn. I bought mine at the last minute from a local fabric shop when a different yarn I ordered online turned out to be just not quite the right color.
I may be a creature of habit, but I’m not above an I may be a creature of habit, but I’m not above an experiment here and there! So I decided to try knitting the Fleegle heel recently, at the encouragement of @aimeeshermakes. Aimee has been responsible for some of my best knitting experiments, so I figured I can’t afford to ignore a suggestion 😆
The next pattern in the 2026 Golden Honey Sock Clu The next pattern in the 2026 Golden Honey Sock Club is coming on Friday! The Frontispiece Socks feature columns of eyelets down the sides of the socks and a simple stockinette panel on the front and back.

I knit my pair using this solid-colored @malabrigoyarn Ultimate Sock, but testers also knit up versions of these socks using speckled and striped yarn, and each version was so charming.

It’s not too late to join the sock club! This year‘s theme is named for special parts of physical books, and I think you will have a lot of fun with them.
