Knitting Needle Review: KnitPro Karbonz

A pair of copper scissors with handles shaped like swans sits on a cream doily. On either side of the scissors are a pink sheath for the scissor blades and a tiny circular needle with the beginnings of a cream-colored sock on it.

Come join me for a fun event next week! I’m going Come join me for a fun event next week! I’m going to be hosting a Do It Together Week where students will work together to complete one or more modules of my Craft Photography Basics course.

We will be hanging out in a pop-up Facebook group that will only be active during the Do It Together Week. The week is designed so that you get support and community while you learn and practice your new skills.

Registration for the week closes on Sunday, March 22! I’ll pop a link in my stories.

And if you’re already a student, don’t worry, this fun event is automatically included in your previous purchase. Just log in to the course and click into the section in the introductory module for the March 2026 event.

There are five common culprits for a handknit sock that develops holes after just a couple of wears. If you are experiencing some issues with your handknit socks falling apart quickly, you can use this list to troubleshoot.

It helps the fibers settle into place and puts the knit item into its final size/shape (this is especially important if you used superwash wool yarn!).

While this process won’t work the same with acrylic or other pure synthetic fibers, you should probably still wash them when you’re done. Our knits pick up all sorts of dust and oils from our hands while we’re working on them. It’s nice to have them fresh and clean for wearing.
