Just a few days left until my first new shawl patt Just a few days left until my first new shawl pattern in years is released! I’m so excited to share this one with you all. This project has been such a fun collaboration with my dear friend @aimeeshermakes, whose new Comfort Silk Linen yarn is the dream blend of 50% merino, 25% linen, and 25% silk. It’s the perfect fiber blend for lightweight summer knits, and it goes so well with the open work of this shawl’s stitch pattern. Aimee and I will have a couple treats for you in our newsletters on Friday when this shawl comes out, so make sure you’re signed up for both of them!

An industrial city in the 1850s is probably not where you’d want to wear this delicate white shawl, but the color and stitch pattern reminded me of billowing steam. I couldn’t help myself. The pattern for this shawl is coming on June 5. I used two skeins of @aimeeshermakes Comfort Silk Linen (kindly provided as part of our collaboration) to knit my sample and had enough left over that I may make a matching little scarflet.
