I know the whole point of a project bag is to protect my project from all of the other random bits and bobs floating around in my main bag, but sometimes things don’t go according to plan here.
A Continuous Smell of Steam gets its name from a p A Continuous Smell of Steam gets its name from a passage in North and South where Fanny Thornton complains about how noisy and smoky Milton is. An industrial city in the 1850s is probably not where you’d want to wear this delicate white shawl, but the color and stitch pattern reminded me of billowing steam. I couldn’t help myself. The pattern for this shawl is coming on June 5. I used two skeins of @aimeeshermakes Comfort Silk Linen (kindly provided as part of our collaboration) to knit my sample and had enough left over that I may make a matching little scarflet. Are you ready to cast on yet or do you still need to pick out your yarn?
