New Pattern Release: The Madeleine Socks

Since 2020, I’ve been captivated by a dainty cable pattern that looks like batter poured into a pan. My latest knitting pattern using those cables is the Madeleine Socks, and it’s now available. Read on for more information about where to buy the pattern, details and specs, an easy shopping list, and more.

The Madeleine Socks, a pair of mint-green handknit socks, are laid flat on a white marble countertop with both toes pointing to the right. The socks feature seed stitch and dainty cables running down the front and back. They're surrounded by vintage books, a teacup full of black tea, and yellow miniature roses.

About the Madeleine Socks

When I released the Madeleine Mitts and the Madeleine Hat back in 2020, I knew there was something special about the stitch pattern. As tends to happen, I couldn’t get it out of my head, so I revisited the pattern and made a DK-weight version of the hat—but that still wasn’t enough.

And so, the Madeleine Socks were born. These cuff-down socks use the classic Madeleine stitch motif down the front and back panels of the socks. The socks are graded to five sizes and feature a heel flap with gusset for a customizable fit. They’re finished off with a wedge toe.
